If I can't block the update I won't be playing Rome 2 anymore - it won't be the game I bought and it will be made worse. I love the graphics updates in the new beta, but couldn't stand the family tree stuff and quite after a few turns and ended the beta.

I still enjoy Empire, Napoleon, Shogun 2 and the Warhammer series. I bought and tried to play Attila, but found the politics side tedious. There are doubtless places upon the World Wide Web that can tutor you in this, so I will not, especially as doing so renders much of the rqanting concerning the Royal Family would then be as so much hot air. A worthy note- while you cannot recruit Generals within the vaunted Vanilla Rome:Total War, it is possible to modify thy Virtual world to allow for this possibility. Devs would be better served returning to all of those aspects of Rome TW that made the game so great instead of trying to reinvent the f.cking wheel with every new DLC or TW title. Total War devs the last decade or so seem to have forgotten all the great aspects of the original Rome TW that put the Total War series in the 'rock star' of video games category. FROM THE RIGHT F.CKING FLANK! Versus entering the battle from some random or preset location like they do in Empire and other more recent TW games. if your reinforcing army is on your right flank on the world map, they enter they batttle. A friendly Reinforcement stack's locations on the world map resulted in the reinforcing army entering the battle map according to their location. Divide et Impera is a total overhaul of Rome 2 that seeks to provide a challenging.

Recent TW games seem to have a small handfull of prefab battle maps that have no relation to where your stack or enemy army stacks are located on the world map. Browse and play mods created for Total War: Rome II at Mod DB. If you're on a hill top on the world map with a forest to your back, you're on a hill top with a forest to your back on the battle map. Your army's position on the world map is reflected on the battle map.
